Quad-Council Meeting

May 21, 2006

Meeting Called to Order at 8:35 a.m. by President Ken Fisher.

Treasurer's Report: Treasurer Yvonne Bruce-Webb reported balances of $3,389.26. M/Stephens, S/Burke to approve Treasurer's Report. PASSED.

Old Business: President Fisher reported that the GLDC website, attached to the Pittsburgh Newspaper Guild website is up and running. He encouraged locals to link to the website and its report.

New Business: Richard Peery, Local One, appointed to represent the GLDC on the Sector Human Rights Committee. M/Bucsko S/Blazina to ratify the appointment. PASSED.

President's Award: Presented to the Toledo local for hosting a successful weekend.

Good & Welfare: President Fisher reported that the meeting in November may be held in either Dayton or Indianapolis, details are to be worked out. He also reported that the 2007 Tri-Council meeting would be held Tuesday, May 3 by the Southern District Council in Washington, D.C.

Regarding the upcoming Sector Conference and CWA Convention, VP Stephens reminded delegates to register for the convention prior to the start of convention or face being shut out.
